I have many notebooks with Ricky's Poetry, Verses & Thoughts. I typed them exactly as he wrote them. Some are just misc thoughts and some are poems or songs.

"I went downtown today. Looking for a special gal. Been searching everywhere high & low, far & wide. Still no queen bee did I fine. The temptation was beginning to take hold. Then suddenly it all unfolds. Then wow what did I see? Over in distance across the trees. A beautiful angel staring right into me. Eyes like the deep blue sea. Surrounded, but not yet tainted by the heard times & misery. Pure".

"Hey baby let me talk to you for a moment. Caress your soft face with the back of my hand. Pushing your hair back across your eyes. Place your lips against mine."

"Sometimes the past comes back to haunt us. Taunting us until it eventually comes back & bites us right in the ass. So you fight the good fight with all your might."

"No longer do I want to spend my nights alone convincing myself this is what I must do in order to achieve my goals. My heart aches, my soul yearns for the loving touch of a woman. The more time I let slip by, the more intense the feelings of desperation become.
At times it's hard to be all alone. Looking at the present as only a stepping stone."

"What’s the cause of all these so called character flaws?"

"Music to me is a freedom of expression. An uninhibited reflection of pure emotion, sound. Able to make a frowning or crying child smile. An uncorrupted form of energy sending a message of peace to all those whom choose to listen. Almost as if a beautiful, magnificent angel was there whispering softly in your ear. Caressing your soft hair. Wiping away all those tears."

"A beautiful flower blooms. In the center of a desolate desert. In the valley of death, dry thin air breathes a true radiance of life and hope. How can something so fragile survive in such a harsh environment? Perhaps the preservation of unspoken idealism. Beauty enchants us where we least expect it."

"We all have so much potential to succeed. As long as we don’t just settle for second best. We must strive for the best in everything we do in our lives. There are so many of us that have such low self worth. Otherwise why would we stay at a job we hate. Due to the fact we are demoralized and bulled. We're not treated like people. Rather sheep in a herd. So no matter what is said or what bargaining chip is used in order to keep us in line. We all have a voice and a right to be heard as individuals. So go fuck yourself Mr manager. You don't own us. We are simply time shares that we allowed you to borrow or rent and the time is up mother fucker. So get the fuck out!!!"

"We the young, strong, wise choose not to abide or hide behind an invisible purple mask of lies and deceit or being caught in the middle of a stereotypical dream. of a delusional reality fabricated in your mind. Instead we choose to only live the truth of What’s in our hearts of hearts. In this hour is our strength and power. We must listen and trust the voice of our hearts to lead us."

"Anger is the enemy. Causing us to do unspeakable things to our fellow human beings. Anger so quickly turns to hatred. Creating an irrational thought process. Suddenly you become capable of plotting a scheming a plan for revenge only to later realize we just need to vent."

"It would be just my luck that you turned out to be a worthless fuck. Running a muck. Doing whatever it takes to earn a buck."

"Lost in the perpetuating thoughts of unhappiness or misery. Sinking further into depression. Like a splinter in my mind. I so desperately want to believe things will get better. However I just can't. Not without some visible evidence of progress. So I must change my way of thinking. So many people put on these fronts or pretend they don't care or it doesn't effect them. It's all a lie or a method for them to cover up their true pain. We are all weak and easily hurt. Some just choose to pretend it doesn't bother them but it does. So instead of running of covering the pain with some lies or fabrication. We should instead embrace the pain. Bring it out into the light of the day. For everyone to see. We shouldn't be ashamed of our feelings or of our frailties. We are all members of the ever humanity."

"You’re a fire eater. Scorching us all with your dazzling intellect."

"My heart aches for you. Time and time again. I set myself up for the inevitable fall. What’s it gonna take to win you over? A gesture of good faith? I have nothing left to give, nothing more to offer you. Nothing to hide. I so desperately yearn for the warmth of your love and the soft tenderness of your touch. I need you so much. Lets accept the simple fact, we are destine to be together. You are my moon, my stars, my sun that rises and sets up and thru the trees. To me you are everything. I breath you in and become weak in the knees."

"Over the hills and across the way, I’ve come to see my baby today.
Can't waste no time anymore when I find my baby all I want to hear is our clothes hit the floor. You’re my beautiful budding rose perfumes full of scented life in a springtime bloom. Soon you will be my queen. The only true heir to my heart forever. Nothing can keep us apart."

"Hey there beauty, What’s your name. I could stare at you all day long until I go blond. Your face is like warm sunshine. I say would you mind? If I just sit here and converse uh with you? Have little conversation. You are the most intoxicating flower I have ever encountered.. Such a rare love (lust) of life. Passion in your eyes a true willingness to trust, to rely on your instincts."

"An oppressive force threatens to slowly eat away at the core. We must endure, our hearts, our minds are the only things they can't take away. Unless we fall prey to their convincing ways. (Down the long, dark path known as guilt) So we must be strong in heart and in mind. To live and breath the freedom. To fight another day. Do not let them take that away. They can never take that away."

"We are drawn to one another by our mental compatibility. An undeniable attraction. We both want to give in to our burning desires but it seems as if we are uncertain if it is worth the backlash of consequences that may result in such irresponsible fortification.

I could write you soft, sweet poetry and attempt to appeal to your femininity. But What’s the point? At the end of the each day, you retreat to the arms of another man. It seems you want the best of both worlds. To have your cake and eat it too."

"I need to believe that I was conceived for a purpose. In order to make a difference. To try to change the way people think. There definitely is way too much negativity. If we could only travel back in time to the love and peace ideals of the sixties. So in essence we must put a stop to the suffering and misery by any means. We can't get angry or frustrated when we don't see immediate results. We must endure any hardships to achieve a state of love an harmony and just put our trust in one another."

Scared boys hiding behind the faces of grown men. Some are just better at disguising the true self. Its the ultimate mind fuck. When we are kids we want to be grown ups. When were grown ups we want to rekindle our youth. Its this discontent that confuses and frustrates. Are we ever just happy with what and who we really are? Or must we...."

"Everyone wants to fall in love. To find the one who sets there weary mind at ease. Setting your hearts free. Ending the search. To find someone who doesn't care about the amount of money you make of about obtaining the finer more expensive things life has to offer. Instead someone who will make you feel safe and secure. Who will love and nurture you as your mother once did. Rest your head, comforting you softly against their chest while they gently caress your hair with the soothing kindness of their fingertips. Speaking the words we wait so long to hear. "I will always love you until the end of time. You are my soul mate..the very air I breath. You mean the world to me. I will never leave your side as long as I am alive."

"We the people cannot be pushed around unless we allow it to happen."

"Innocence hides behind a black hood of concealment. In order to protect and preserve the needless suffering and blood shed of future generations. The only dictators and murderers get rich on the sacrifice of the young blood. There a real satisfaction to them in their paths of destruction. They feel extremely powerful but are blinded by there own foolishness and become corrupt."

"Crazy for your lips. Crazy for your kiss. Tell me baby, where can I find a woman like this. Your hair is the uncontained flame...of passion I feel in vain. When you speak your words are soft and sweet like the smell of a baby’s breath."

"I wish to feast on the fruit from the forbidden tree. Even though I know it would be wrong. I long, desire so much to hold you in my arms. To softly kiss and caress you. Gently pushing back your hair back across your soft face. Unfortunately I care the unattainable. Another mans wife. The love and sunshine of his life. The mother of a beautiful baby girl. Therefore I am deprived of my lustful intentions. Forced to swallow my pride. Left now to just hide. Bury my true feeling deep inside and never ask why."
